Introduction :

Halal Food Seminar 2011 (Hafo§ ’11)  is a seminar that leads towards Halal understanding as well as to provide a platform of knowledge development in Halal Food Production and Development.

Hafo§ ’11 will be held on 7th December 2011 at the Main Lecture Hall (DKU), Faculty of Quranic and Sunnah Studies, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM).

"HALAL TOWARDS GLOBAL PHENOMENA"

The purposes of this seminar :

1. To give the students' and industry's communities opportunity to know and understand the latest Halal product development.
2. To give the students the exposure in managing organizations and instilling leadership values for the future undertakings.
3. To get the consumes' attention and realization on their rights on the importance of Halal products in the overall aspects.
4. To answer government's call in implementing human capital concept among students that not only capable in academic aspect, but as well as in extra-curicular activities.
5. To introduce FST name and USIM to agencies that are related to Halal food and paving the way in establishing future co-operation.
6. As a channel to show USIM's true potential as Centre of Excellent in Islamic Products, in keeping with the university's vision, mission and objectives such as the establishment of institut Pengurusan dan Penyelidikan Fatwa Sedunia (INFAD) and International Halal Research and Management (IHRAM) and so on.
